The Island Golf Club


Located only 27km from the hotel, The Island Golf Club was founded in 1890 and is one of the oldest golf courses in Ireland. Overlooked by the North County village of Malahide, it has a unique setting bordered by the sea on 3 sides.

A classic Links course set in rugged terrain and nestled between the highest sand dunes along the East Coast, this course is one of the most spectacular in all of Ireland.

 

Royal Dublin Golf Club


Located only 7.4km from the hotel. Founded in 1855 the links was originally designed by Harry Colt, the world-famous golf architect from Sunningdale and is the second oldest golf club in Ireland.

The Royal Dublin Golf Club has hosted many Irish championships, starting with the Irish Amateur Open back in 1894. The Royal Dublin Golf Club hosted The Carrolls Irish Open from 1983-1985 with Seve Ballesteros winning in 1983 and 1985 and Bernhard Langer winning in 1984. The Club has also regularly hosted the Irish Amateur Close and the Irish PGA.

 

The European Club


Located 63.4km from the hotel. Set on the Co. Wicklow coastline the European Club links course is surrounded by breathtaking dunes and it features sweeping sea views from nineteen of the twenty holes.   It is one of the longest links at 7,490- yards from the tips.

It has attracted world-famous golfers such as Tiger Woods who holds the links record at 67 and Rory McIlroy won the Irish Amateur title here.

 

Dun Laoghaire Golf Club


Located just 24km from the hotel. Dun Laoghaire Golf Club is situated close to Enniskerry in Co. Wicklow and one of Ireland’s most spectacular and challenging parkland courses. The 27-hole championship course has been designed to enable any combination of the three 9-holes courses to be played. With its 108 bunkers, 3.3 hectares of USGA greens, and 3 hectares of USGA tees.

In 2016, the Curtis Cup, the biggest Ladies amateur event in the world involving Great Britain and Ireland versus the USA, was hosted at the Dun Laoghaire Golf Club.
