As the world reopens we look forward to welcoming guests back to our hotels. When you next stay with us there will be some changes but you can always expect the same, warm welcome and friendly service Clayton Hotels are renowned for.

In the interest of our staff and guest safety & in line with Government Guidelines all guests must wear a face mask when in the hotel public areas.

Government Restrictions in Ireland

Can I still stay at a hotel?

  • We are delighted to welcome all guests from within Ireland back to our hotels following government guidelines and protective procedures.

Travelling from outside Ireland:

If you are arriving into Ireland from another country, we ask that all guests follow all public health and government guidelines including where you are required to complete a PCR test pre-arrival, to isolate for 14 days and/or where permitted test after 5 days of isolation. Please refer to www.gov.ie for further information. Dalata Hotel Group will take the necessary measures as outlined in the Government guidelines to protect the welfare and safety of all guests and team members.

Change of date: Should wish to change your booking date, you can amend your reservations online or direct with the hotel.

  • Our Hotels are open following all government guidelines and protective procedures.
  • Hotel services could be limited dependent on area or regional tier status, please call the hotel directly if you have any questions in relation to your stay.

Restaurants & Bars

In compliance with Irish Government guidelines, hotel bars & restaurants will open to hotel accommodation guests from June 2nd.  Tables must be booked in advance with a time limit of 105 minutes for a maximum of 6 people over the age of 13 or a max of 15 people including children. Multiple table bookings are not permitted. Room service is also available and outside dining is also available at selected locations.

Maximum time allowance may vary depending on social distancing allowed for at each hotel restaurant or bar – for 1 metre distancing maximum time allowed is 105 minutes and for 2 metre distancing or for outside dining no time limit applies.   • All restaurants and lounges setup with sufficient space between tables to allow physical distancing.
  • Breakfast buffets changed to full table service.
  • All food and drink orders will be taken at your table and delivered to your table.
  • ‘Click and collect’ and increased in-room dining options available.
  • We encourage cashless or contactless payments in restaurants, lounges and Red Bean Roastery coffee docks.

Guest Health & Safety

We continue to maintain the highest standards in hygiene across our business. In order to minimise the risk and prevent the spread of COVID-19, we have implemented strict hygiene procedures. These procedures have been developed in conjunction with direction from the HSE (Ireland), NHS (UK) & World Health Organisation and include:

  • Daily hotel team briefings to ensure enhanced operational protocols.
  • New operational measures across all departments.
  • Increased frequency of cleaning in all areas & an additional sterilisation process.
  • Covid Compliance Officers in all hotels.
  • Provision of alcohol-based sanitisers throughout our hotels.

Flexible Booking Changes 

We offer a flexible booking policy on all standard rates and we are making necessary adjustments to our individual booking policies to give you extra peace of mind.

Hotel Services

All guests travelling for essential business travel are permitted to stay as normal and use the hotel facilities.

We continue to take guidance from the HSE (Ireland), NHS (UK) on any further recommended restrictions. Changes to our services include:

  • Online check-in and online check-out for contactless experience.
  • Detailed pre-stay email and welcome information.
  • Rooms are sprayed before and after each clean with seal attached to door to ensure room has not been accessed since being thoroughly cleaned.
  • Touch point cleaning, extra disinfection of high touch areas including door handles, light switches, sockets and remote control.
  • De-clutter in-room amenities including guest directory, paper and pens.
  • Room charge option for meals and drinks in our restaurants, room service and click & collect services.

Swimming Pools & Gyms

All of our Club Vitae leisure centres with gym and swimming pool will reopen on June 2nd for hotel guests and on June 7th for members.

To ensure guests can safely socially distance whilst swimming or working out numbers are limited. Due to government regulations, gym & pool visits MUST be booked in advance and you will be able to book online through our guest services platform. This can be booked in advance of your stay by using the link which will be sent in your pre-arrival email, or you can book once you arrive at the hotel through our online guest services platform. We encourage you to change in your room, additional towels are available with lockers and drying areas provided.

Following current Government advice showers, Jacuzzi’s, saunas and steam rooms remain closed at this time.

Our hotel leisure centres are thoroughly sanitised twice daily and our teams strictly adhere to social distancing guidelines.

Family Activities

This summer Clayton Hotel Galway, Clayton Hotel Liffey Valley, Clayton Hotel Sligo and Clayton Whites of Wexford will have a range of complimentary family activities available to keep you entertained during your stay. All of our activities are designed in keeping with social distancing guidelines while still providing a fun place to stay for all the family. Meetings & Events

Meeting hosts are asked to arrive 30 minutes before your colleagues so our team can show you to your room and ensure everything is organised before your delegates arrive.

Individual water bottles will be available for your meeting. Individually wrapped lunch can be pre-ordered and served inside the meeting room. Tea and coffee will also be individually served.

We operate a robust cleaning schedule with enhanced sanitisation of high touch points and a bespoke sanitisation treatment device spray using anolyte water so you can be sure your meeting space is clean and safe. Meeting spaces are socially distanced, as per government guidelines, and set in the style that works for your event.
