In line with Irish Government Guidelines “indoor gatherings” including conferences, meetings, training and educational programmes are permitted with 50% occupancy, where all patrons are immune (fully vaccinated or recovered from COVID-19 within the previous 6 months), or accompanied minors (under 18).

Our Meeting & Events Changes

Clayton Hotels offer superb spacious Meeting & Events facilities across our hotels and in the current challenging environment, we are especially committed to providing excellent service to our meeting delegates & event guests in a safe environment.

Our conference, meeting and events facilities are important elements of our “Clayton Keep Safe Program” ensuring the health and safety of our guests, delegates and colleagues. We are very fortunate to have spacious conference & event spaces & meeting rooms as well as generous public areas in which we can ensure social distancing is fully observed and supported by additional safety protocols which will be explained by our meetings & events team.

What to Expect

Details of meeting facilities, room set-up, service & procedures as well as food & beverage service & menus will be sent to your meeting organiser in advance of your meeting taking place, so you know what to expect.

Meeting organisers will be asked to arrive 30 minutes before the event start time & check-in at the hotel reception on arrival. Although your welcome may feel a bit different & your meeting & events co-ordinator may be wearing a visor or mask, you can be confident of the same friendly welcome and excellent service with a smile.

Additional signage will advise delegates what rooms they are in and directions. Hand sanitiser will be available throughout the hotel, supported by signage to promote good hand and respiratory hygiene and to accommodate social distancing & queues where they may arise.

In-line with government guidelines from December 18th 2021:

  • Wedding receptions can take place with a capacity limit of 100 guests and continue after 8pm. Midnight closing time still applies.
  • Otherwise, indoor events must finish by 8pm, including entertainment, cultural, community and sporting events.
  • Attendance at events should be limited to 50% of venue capacity or 1,000 attendees, whichever is the lower


Meeting Room Set Up

Your meeting room door will be sealed to guarantee thorough sanitisation before entry. A vigorous cleaning programme will be carried out throughout the day with key touchpoints being frequently cleaned & rooms being sanitised at least twice daily using a Sanitising spray.

Reduced Capacities

We are delighted that our hotels meeting & events facilities are now fully operational and can be set up to reflect physical distancing with a suitable spacing of a minimum of 2-metres between delegates.

Table Set Up

To limit touch points, minimal stationery will be provided in each room and there will be no stationary supply box provided. Separate bottles of water & glasses will be supplied for each delegate.


Please wear a mask when moving about public areas in the hotel, entering and leaving meeting spaces.
