Music and Event Venues Belfast

Belfast is big on music. World class venues include The Odyssey and Waterfront Hall while the historic Belfast City Hall and even the city centre itself regularly host the very best musical entertainment.

Belfast city has a rich musical heritage and fantastic collection ranging from traditional to classical, rock to popular, country, jazz and blues. In recent years many top acts have been seen lining up to play in Belfast, with prime venues like SSE Arena, King’s Hall Complex and the Waterfront Hall, it’s surprise many travel long distances just to see their favourite act.

SSE Arena

Just a 25 minute walk from the City Centre, with a capacity for 11,000 spectators, The SSE Arena is the biggest indoor arena and it is located within the Odyssey Complex in the Titanic Quarter. Host to concerts, musicals and sporting events such as the Belfast Giants game as well as comedy.

The Waterfront

Award-winning, only purpose-build conference and entertainment centre. The Waterfront offers an unrivalled choice of events from comedy to music concerts – rock, popular and classical, to ballet and opera, theatre and more. Has hosted names like Van Morrison, Dara O’Briain, Alan Carr, Fleetwood Mac and Blur, and it is a key venue for the Belfast Festival and the Ulster Orchestra.

Belfast City Hall

Located in Donegall Square in the heart of the city, Belfast City Hall is Belfast’s civic building, one of the most iconic buildings in the city. It opened its doors in August 1906 and has a fascinating architecture. Look out for the illuminations; the building is lit up in the evening in many colour combinations. During the day, make sure you take advantage of the free tour to uncover Belfast City Hall’s history and visit the Titanic Memorial Garden
