Cardiff Castle
Wales’s leading historical attraction and situated in the city centre, Cardiff Castle has over 2,000 years of history. Its structure was once a Roman fort, then Norman castle and finally redesigned in to the Victorian Gothic castle that stands today. The castle is available for tours everyday of the week and even holds events such as banquets, seasonal tours and most recently an Outdoor Cinema.
Considered its ‘back garden’ is Bute Park, a luscious open space perfect for a quick break from the cities lively streets. Also, for a full tour of the city why not take a boat trip from the park on the River Taff straight to Cardiff Bay. Packed with history and culture, Cardiff Castle is right on Clayton Hotels doorstep.
