St. David's Shopping Centre

In the centre of the city, just a short walk from Clayton Hotel Cardiff, St David’s Shopping Centre is home to high street favourites; Marks and Spencer, Debenhams and John Lewis. Central Market

Step back in time at Cardiff Market. Under its glass roof the different stalls have been trading since the 1700s which today includes locally sourced fruit and veg, welsh meat, kids toy and homeware stalls all guaranteed to be a bargain. 

The market explores a variety of cultures from Asian delicacies to Mediterranean nibbles however, most notably is Cardiff Bakestones, home of the nation’s favourite – welshcakes, baked in store the market offers alternative flavours including chocolate chip, lemon curd and strawberry jam.

Queens Arcade

Cardiff has a range of arcades dotted throughout the city, with Queens Arcade containing some of the most fashionable boutiques, jewellery stores and cafés on Queen Street. The Royal Arcade is the oldest of Cardiff’s arcades and is located just opposite St David’s Shopping Centre. You’ll find some great independent shops that have been there for over 60 years which include Wally’s Delicatessen. Castle Arcade is just opposite Cardiff castle and has a great array of edible goodies including speciality cheeses, breads and pastas.

Ice Arena Wales

Ice Arena Wales is home to the local ice hockey team, the Cardiff Devils. Currently competing in the British Elite Ice Hockey League the Cardiff Devils hold league titles for both 2017 and 2018. Ice Arena Wales hosts regular home games for you to enjoy as well as private hire facilities and ice-skating lessons.

Cardiff City Stadium

The second largest stadium in Wales and home to Cardiff City Football Club, Cardiff City Stadium has capacity for over 33,000 supporters. Since qualifying for the Premier League this year, the stadium now host high profile games against teams such as Liverpool, Manchester United, and Arsenal. The venue promises an intimate and electric atmosphere at every game and is just a 10 minute drive Claytons hotel.

Wales Millennium Centre

The home of performing arts in Cardiff Bay. It plays host to a range of activities throughout the year including musicals, the ballet, opera, dance and much more.
