Glencar Alpacas

The family farm is located in Treanakillew, Glencar, Leitrim bordering Sligo. The Alpacas living here are friendly and curious and enjoy the trek which takes in the panoramic views of the Glencar Valley & lake; the devils chimney Waterfall and The Swiss Valley.

The farm has been in the family for generations and it has a history to hear and older cottages on the land to visit. Originally, the farm has been a sheep farm, but given a fantastic location, the owner Des always thought about making a path to walk the alpacas. The stunning views overlook Glencar Lake and Valley and you can even see Knocknarea mountain from the higher walk. The walk brings you through the Devils Chimney, with Sruth in Aghaidh on one side and Cashmene waterfall on the other side.

The gentle alpacas are gorgeous creatures, well behaved and a pleasure to walk with them. Glencar Alpacas guests can opt for a gentler walk to suit their level of fitness.

To book the your Alpaca adventure, contact Des on 085 184 9574 or find them on Facebook.
