Jack The Ripper Tour

Whitechapel and Aldgate may be a vibrant, colourful and multi-cultural neighbourhood nowadays but like many other areas of London it does play a significant part in London’s dark history.

The author of the famous 1888 Whitechapel murders, Jack the Ripper, also known as “The Whitechapel Murderer” was an infamous criminal and remains the greatest mystery in the history of crime for killing five women in Victorian East London without ever revealing his identity.

If you want to feel like you have been transported in the dark Victorian East End, walk down narrow alleyways once haunted by the man himself, Jack the Ripper, listen to intriguing tales about his existence and find out why he couldn’t be caught, then you can join the Jack the Ripper tour which takes place twice a day and lasts approximately 1 hour and 45 minutes.

This is an interactive tour presented by theatrical performance guides who use hand held projectors to immerse the listener into Jack’s world with the help of graphic pictures.

Take advantage of the conveniently located Clayton Hotel City of London and meet the tour outside the Aldgate East Station exit 3 by the Whitechapel Art Gallery located minutes away.

After the tour, get back to the hotel bar for a strong drink or a calming tea and take more time to reflect on all the stories you just heard.
