The Milk Market is located only 1.6km from Clayton Hotel Limerick and runs every Friday, Saturday and Sunday.

Páirc na nGael

The Gaelic Grounds or Páirc na nGael is the principal GAA stadium in Limerick, home to both the Limerick hurling and football teams.

The stadium is just a 20-minute walk from the Clayton Hotel Limerick and only 7 minutes drive. After a thrilling match return to Grill Bar & Restaurant for post-match analysis, celebrations or commiserations over great food and drinks.

University Concert Hall Limerick

The University of Limerick is situated on an expansive campus on the River Shannon within 15 minutes drive of Clayton Hotel Limerick. The campus is home to the University Sports Arena and the University Concert Hall

University Concert Hall is a 1,038 seat auditorium which has hosted a great number of famous names in entertainment and prestigious choir and orchestra ensembles. The University Concert Hall was the first purpose built concert hall in Ireland. Shows range from full orchestral classical performances, opera, to stand-up comedy and panto. Since its opening it has welcomed some of the biggest names including James Taylor, Billy Connolly, Jimmy Carr, Christy Moore, the RTE National Symphony Orchestra to name but a few.

Limetree Theatre

The Lime Tree Theatre is a beautiful, state-of-the-art theatre, located on the campus of Mary Immaculate College within 15 minutes walk of Clayton Hotel Limerick..

Foynes Flying Boat Museum

Located in the original airport terminal building, in the heart of the village is the Foynes Flying Boat and Maritime Museum. This award-winning museum captures the story of how Foynes was one of the most important aviation stations in the world from 1937 to 1945.

During this nostalgic era, military personnel, celebrities and refugees were flown on the famous flying boats and were frequent visitors to the area. In 2013 the museum was extended to include a Maritime Museum with information on the Shannon Estuary from this time.

Treaty City Brewery

University of Limerick

The University is situated on an expansive campus on the River Shannon, within a 10-minute drive of Clayton Hotel Limerick. The University houses the University Sports Arena and the University Concert Hall on campus and plays host to many larger international conference.

Bunratty Castle

Bunratty Castle & Folk Park is comprised of four different areas: Bunratty Castle; Bunratty Folk Park; Bunratty Walled Gardens; and The Bunratty Collection.

King John's Castle

Located on King’s Island, this site dates back to 922 when the Vikings ruled the Irish shores in numbers. The surviving castle was built on the orders of King John himself in 1200, and till this day is one of the best preserved Norman castles in Europe. King John’s Castle visitors centre tells the history of the site through excellent interactive exhibits and projections. This beautiful castle is located just north of the River Shannon in Limerick city.
