HSBC UK National Cycling Centre

One of the busiest velodrome’s in the world for the exciting sport of cycling, the National Cycling Centre is 20 minutes’ drive from Clayton Hotel Manchester Airport and easily accessible by public transport. As well as welcoming some of the finest cyclists in the world the BMX arena and outdoor mountain bike trails are open to everyone with lessons and equipment hire available.

The velodrome offers a large variety of sessions to ensure the centre accommodates everyone interested. From beginners who want to experience the thrill for the first time in one of the taster sessions, to regular riders who partake in two-hour accredited rider sessions. No matter how experienced an individual may be there is something for everybody to enjoy here, including the spectators.

Getting to the Velodrome

Whilst visiting the National Cycling Centre, Clayton Hotel Manchester Airport is a perfect location to stay the night as we are only 20 minutes drive from the track. Guests travelling by public transport can catch the train from Manchester Airport Station to Piccadilly, change to the Metrolink tram and Velopark is just 4 stops away. We offer a complimentary shuttle bus between the hotel and Manchester Airport Station.
