Festive Weddings

The colder evenings are creeping in and so is the glow and warmth of the festive wedding season. We have put together some of our favourite touches to get that festive feeling flowing.

The Décor

Fairy lights at the ready! To create that warm inviting atmosphere check with your venue when they put up their Christmas decorations and what centre pieces they can offer. The best way to create a cosy atmosphere is with lots of tea lights, candles and fairy lights. Couple this with the metallic and deep warm Christmas colours from the trees and decorations and you have the perfect match.

To keep bellies warm

To defrost your guests on those cold winters eve think about hot canapes for your drink’s reception, along with tea and coffee, maybe even an Irish one, mulled wine or hot whiskeys. They are sure to warm them up.

Festive Favours

If you are looking for a small gesture to say thank you to your family and friends, we have a few ideas of what people love.  A little personalised Christmas decoration is the perfect way to thank your guests for being there or why not have something to keep warm like blankets for guests if they need to go out for fresh air?

Another lovely favour that is also sustainable is pledging a donation on behalf of your guests to a charity that may need a little extra help for Christmas.

The style

Winter weddings are the perfect opportunity to add an element to your wedding outfit. There are some fabulous faux fur coats, and capes that when draped over your wedding dress add the perfect layer of warmth and cosiness. Ditch the sandals and add a fabulous pair of boots to keep your feet warm while outside taking photos.
