Head then towards Fitzgerald Park, located along the banks of the River Lee, walk through the tree-lined paths, meander through the beautiful flower & rose beds, admire the many sculptures and check out Dermot Gavin’s Sky Garden, which won gold in the prestigious Chelsea Flower Show back in 2011. After all this exploring, it is time to enjoy a lazy afternoon, catch up on the chats all while tucking into your well-deserved picnic.

    Cork is known for its culture and strong arts and theatre scene. You’ll be spoilt for choice with two great theatres to choose from, with Cork Opera House and The Everyman Theatre. These venues host a fantastic range of shows both musical and theatre throughout the year. If it’s music that you’re looking for check out Live at St Luke’s. The former church hosted several concerts throughout the year, with a bring your own drink policy. We recommend you bring a cushion for the pew seats!
