If you and your partner are foodies, this is the place to visit in Cork. Housed in a beautiful mid-nineteenth century building in Cork city centre, The English Market has been home to some of the best artisan food since 1788. It is also the place to try local specialities like drisheen, spiced beef and buttered eggs. Make sure to pop in for a delicious breakfast or lunch on your romantic weekend away in Cork.
2. Wander through Fitzgerald Park
These beautifully landscaped gardens are the perfect place for a stroll or picnic, right in the centre of Cork city. Take in the many outdoor pieces of art and sculptures dotted throughout the park or continue along the banks of the Lee River.
